FRANK GOMEZ | Strategic Advisor

A seasoned public affair professional whose career begin as a Foreign Service Officer, serving in Colombia, Costa Rica, Washington, DC, Mali, Haiti and ending in Washington, DC. He capped his career as Director, Foreign Press Centers and Chief of Foreign Service Personnel at the U.S. Information Agency, and as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs. During his diplomatic career, he received six outstanding service awards.

He then consulted for clients in France, Indonesia, Japan, Latin America and the U.S. and later joined consumer goods giant Philip Morris Companies Inc. He directed ties with a portfolio of 150 civil, media, ethnic, women’s and professional organizations and created PMCI’s global disaster relief program, drawing on resources from General Foods, Kraft Foods, Miller Brewing and the parent holding company. After 15 years, he retired and joined Educational Testing Service, the world’s largest educational research and assessment organization, heading Communications and Public Affairs and later was the Strategic Advisor to the Senior Vice President and Chief HR, Administrative and Diversity Officer. He left ETS in 2018 and now devotes himself to his longtime consultancy partnership, Latin Insights.

Mr. Gomez, also holds degrees and certificates from six colleges and universities, including an MA in HR and Organizational Behavior from George Washington University (admitted to the national scholastic honor society Pi Alpha Alpha), a graduate fellowship in international economics, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University and the Advanced Executive Program, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. After earning a Certificate in Translation, he taught French and Spanish translation at New York University. The University invited him to create and teach a course in Relations with the Muslim World in 2003 and 2004. His work at NYU earned him its Outstanding Service Award.
